Biography I am a native Californian. I have been married 18 years to my best friend, and am the mother of three beautiful and bright children, and now 3 wonderful grandchildren. My education is a continuing adventure. In hopes of giving back for the many who have helped me over a lifetime, I participated in these volunteer activities. I was a corporate representative for the American Heart Association, taught fitness and dancing to elementary school students and 7th graders, and also to retirement home residents. I was fortunate to be asked to hold motivational seminars in fitness for various spiritual groups and churches. I wrote, produced and performed in 13 one hour videos (26 shows) on local cable television in an effort to teach fitness to those who could not afford to join a health club. I taught my own method and had guest instructors on to introduce other methods to begin getting healthy and fit. I have worked in child care, as a housekeeper, a waitress, a sales person, professional dancer and fitness instructor, manager of a health club, aerobics director, and personal fitness trainer. My most important job (other than that of being a mom), was working as a caregiver for my disabled and aging mama. Currently I work as a personal health and fitness consultant, calibrating individual programs for clients. I also teach my specialty, “ Stress Management and Relaxation Techniques for Women”. The class is especially for women as I believe women are the messengers of good to their mates and the children of the world. I am a humanist and love my fellow man. I hate war and politics and think the love of money IS the root of all evil, yet sadly we must have it to survive. I am flexible and willing to share studies in life with others in conversation, with an open mind and heart, and yet my personal beliefs cannot be shaken, nor diminished. This is my first book to be published. This is the first of many, I hope. Primarily I like to read non-fiction as I think life itself is the most interesting of all. My own experiences have been so diverse I feel I am able to step in another person’s moccasins with sensitive and true feelings. The book I am currently working on is a mix of events that have happened to the many women I have counseled over the years. At this point in my life I am still excited about life, I love all the seasons and peoples, and will continue on my journey to learn as I go. Writing has been a passion since I can remember. I will continue to write in hopes that whomever reads my material will be able to join with me in each situation from the written words and from the heart. If this biography sounds like it’s all about “me, me, me”, it is! That is what a biography is: “a brief account of series of events that have made up a person’s life .” This is it so far. I hope you know me a little better now:)
